This week's Thankful Thursday event was a testament to the incredible support of our community. The event helped local Shriners raise over $34,000.00, a significant amount that will directly impact the lives of children and families battling medical issues. Just before the live auction began, a family bravely shared their story, highlighting how Shriners had changed their lives through the support and care given to their young daughter. This is the power of our community coming together for a common cause.
It was a joyous and heartwarming sight to witness the strong support Laramie County residents and businesses poured into Thankful Thursday and the organizations that benefit from their hard work and dedication. The event was truly a 'Party with a Purpose', brimming with laughter, good food, and wonderful people. I even spotted a few of my fellow Kiwanians in the crowd, united in our support for a great cause. What more could you ask for, than to be part of such a vibrant and caring community!
